Article Writer (Volunteer)

THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE VOLUNTEER POSITION. Please read carefully before applying. Background: Pitch Labs is a non-profit that is taking strides to change the face of entrepreneurship. As it stands right now, obtaining entrepreneurial knowledge can be expensive and seems only available to limited amounts of people. However, millions of entrepreneurs worldwide know that they can make innovations that will change and shape society forever. Pitch Labs is helping entrepreneurs unlock the resources they need by creating a free online library, hosting virtual events, and opening clubs in schools to allow entrepreneurs to unlock their skills and do what they are meant to do: create. What We Need: We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need events to connect everyone together. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach. As an Article Writer, you will be responsible for writing a minimum of two articles/month on topics within business and collaborating with editors to produce high-quality and informative articles.

• NOTE: Use of AI to write responses in your application will disqualify it from consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Publication on a certified website.
• Recommendation by a validated source.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with blogs and research papers.
• Portfolio of at least 3 written essays or articles to be accessed.
• Write & speak professional/native level English language.

Duties:

• Write information blogs and articles for the Pitch Labs website.
• Research relevant topics to write about.
• Gather information for curriculum planners.

Expectations:

• MINIMUM weekly check in.
• Updates on article progress every week.
• Write at least 2 articles per month.

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized and ready to engage. Please be prepared to contribute at least 5 hours a week for at least the next 6 months. As we invest heavily in training each volunteer, we humbly request that if you are unable to meet this time commitment that you do not sign up to respect our other volunteers time. All volunteers must attend their department’s team meeting or 1-1 meeting every week. We enforce a 24 hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects/deadlines that team members are working on. We are able to accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc as long as these commitments are appropriately conveyed as soon as possible.
