Senior Operations Accountant remote The Opportunity: We’re looking for a Senior Operations Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to the Controller. In this role, you’ll manage account reconciliations, play a key role in month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting. You’ll also handle expense management, vendor reporting, assist with audits, and help maintain strong internal controls and compliance. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Play a key role to streamline our AP, expense reimbursement, and credit card reconciliation processes.
  • Help define and manage our vendor relationships and contract process.
  • Manage daily operations including, but not limited to: bills processing, vendor setup, credit card transactions accounting coding, invoices approvals requests
  • Manage core aspects of the month-end close, including preparing journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations (e.g., bank accounts, credit cards, and accounts payable).
  • Reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger account balances, including ensuring accurate payroll GL postings.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with initial internal control evaluations and help ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards to reduce risk and maintain audit readiness.
  • Provide support for external audits by preparing general ledger account analyses and providing detailed documentation.
  • Support initiatives to improve accounting processes, documentation, and systems.
  • Prepare vendor detail reports and support finance-related activities for procurement.

Must have details:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting
  • Experience with the full scope of daily operational accounting, from processing bills and setting up vendors to coding credit card transactions and handling invoice approvals
  • Experience with expense management software (Brex, ramp, airbase…)
  • Experience with ERP (Netsuite, Sage intact…)
  • High level of attention to detail and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • You are located in, and authorized to work in, the US
