Technical Specialist - Datacom (Remote Opportunity)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Specialist to join our innovative Datacom team at The Walt Disney Company. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for our Datacom services, including video and interactive systems, network infrastructure, and software applications. You will work closely with our technical vendors, internal stakeholders, and other teams to ensure seamless operations, resolve technical issues, and implement new solutions. Your strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will enable you to excel in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and expertise for Datacom services, including video and interactive systems, network infrastructure, and software applications
• Collaborate with technical vendors, internal stakeholders, and other teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve technical issues
• Implement new solutions, upgrades, and patches to ensure system reliability and security
• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and analysis to resolve complex technical issues
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and metrics to ensure knowledge sharing and process improvement
• Participate in project planning, implementation, and testing to ensure successful deployment of new technologies and services

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in the AV/Technology industry, with a focus on network infrastructure, video systems, and software applications
• Strong technical skills, including network switching and routing, video distribution, and software security
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the AV or technology industry, with experience in video distribution, encoding, audio mixing, and IoT devices
• Network switching and routing experience, with knowledge of security protocols and industry best practices
• Experience with analysis and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Strong understanding of enterprise video distribution, sustainment, and performance

Education:

• Associate Degree in Computer Science, Video Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analysis, or other related scientific or technical discipline
• Or equivalent certifications and/or relevant work experience
