Remote Senior Architect, IT Infrastructure - American Airlines

As a Senior Architect, IT Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to maintain and enhance our environments, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and software development. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to define approach and requirements, develop and drive high-degree strategic responsibilities, and provide technical guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical approach of software and system design of our cloud infrastructure
• Maintain and enhance Kubernetes workload and SAAS artifacts with automation in focus
• Collaborate with product management, business analysts, developers, testers, and architectural teams to define approach and requirements
• Develop and drive high-degree strategic responsibilities and secure commitment from external and internal stakeholders for new initiatives
• Provide technical guidance, direction, and recommendations to teams developing custom and off-the-shelf internet applications and services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• 2+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice framework/REST development
• 3+ years of experience supporting critical middleware applications
• Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and software development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Technical leadership experience
• Experience with HELM charts, TDD, and BDD concepts
• Familiarity with PCI compliance standards
