Role Overview: As a Community Moderator at Meetsta, you will be responsible for monitoring user activity, enforcing community guidelines, and addressing any issues that arise. This is a critical position that requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding our community standards. Your strong judgment and decision-making abilities will enable you to make informed decisions, ensuring our platform remains a safe and respectful space for all users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Monitoring: Monitor user-generated content across Meetsta to ensure compliance with community guidelines, reviewing and moderating comments, posts, and messages for inappropriate content, spam, and violations.
  • Community Support: Respond to user reports and concerns promptly and professionally, providing guidance and support to users regarding community rules and best practices, and escalating serious issues to the appropriate teams for further investigation.
  • Enforcement of Guidelines: Enforce community guidelines by issuing warnings, suspensions, and bans as necessary, maintaining detailed records of moderation actions and user interactions.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Gather and report user feedback to help improve community management strategies, collaborating with the Community Manager to identify trends and areas for improvement, and participating in regular team meetings to discuss community health and moderation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in community moderation, customer support, or a related field, with familiarity with social media platforms and online community dynamics.
  • Skills: Excellent written communication skills, strong judgment and decision-making abilities, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive online community, empathetic and patient, with a genuine interest in helping others, reliable and consistent, with a strong sense of responsibility, and adaptable and able to handle feedback and change gracefully.

Compensation: We offer a competitive equity-based compensation package.
