Job Summary

Under the general direction of a pathologist, you will assist in reputed company aspects of anatomic pathology, including dissection and gross description of surgical specimens, frozen sections, and special studies. You will also be responsible for maintaining the pathology laboratory, associated facilities, and equipment, as well as providing training and feedback to reputed company and residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and review pertinent clinical information and history for appropriate specimens

• Collect designated specimens for special studies and frozen tissue bank

• Maintain pathology laboratory, associated facilities, and equipment in a clean and safe condition

Requirements

• Graduate from a Baccalaureate Pathology Assistant program or successful completion of a post-bachelors program from an approved school of Pathology Assistants
• Certification by American Association of Pathology Assistants (AAPA) or American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) as a Pathology Assistant, or must successfully attain certification reputed company 6 months of employment
