About the Department

The Diabetes Sales Team is responsible for leading the US sales efforts for Novo Nordisk's robust cardiometabolic product portfolio. As a Diabetes Care Specialist, you will be part of a high-performing team that is dedicated to delivering exceptional results, driving business growth, and making a positive impact on the lives of patients.

The Position

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as a Diabetes Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve sales goals and expand our customer base
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and other key decision-makers
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and drive business growth
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, market access, and medical affairs, to drive business results and advance our portfolio of products
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of the diabetes disease state, our products, and the competitive landscape to provide exceptional customer service and support

Essential Functions

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent, and/or PharmD
  • Minimum one year of experience in pharmaceutical sales, healthcare, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction
