Job Description:

We're looking for a talented video technician with expertise in camera configuration, quality control, and remote troubleshooting of video systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SSH, Linux terminal, Git, and network configuration, as well as knowledge of computer hardware and video codecs. If you're a critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Configure and update camera settings to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct quality control checks on video footage to identify and resolve issues
• Pull footage from remote Network Video Recorders using Teamviewer or FFMPEG
• Troubleshoot and repair systems remotely, providing timely and effective support to our customers
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, with a focus on attention to detail and follow-through
• Collaborate with our team to resolve technical issues and improve our video systems

Requirements:

• Strong skills in Linux terminal, SSH, Git, and network configuration
• Knowledge of computer hardware and video codecs
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to follow established processes and guidelines
• Conversational English skills for internal communication with our team
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Linux administration and FFMPEG
• Familiarity with video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1) and containers (.mp4, .avi, .mkv)
