Employees in Sensitive Positions are required to fulfill a Mandatory Time-Away (MTA) requirement of 10 consecutive business days each calendar year.As a dedicated Bank Payments Processing Specialist, you will reputed company services for deposit processing, payment exception and monetary adjustments. You will process specialized and routine back-office payment transactions, often in coordination with other institutions, to include reputed company, electronic, deposits. Research and resolve payment issues, payment exceptions, and monetary adjustments across reputed company payment channels including ACH (Automated Clearing House) and wires.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What you'll do:Acquire and apply intermediate knowledge of policies, processes, industry practices, systems and/or equipment to open and/or process payments received through various payment systems.Assist with processing bank payments such as reconciling monetary transactions and processing general ledger transactions in accordance with established procedures and service level agreements.Review account transactions for exceptions processing and helps determine appropriate actions for bank-to-bank adjustments and/or member requested changes in accordance with regulatory guidelines.Serve as a first line of defense for fraud or suspicious transaction activities for reputed company monetary to include Zelle, ACH, wires, deposits, reputed company and electronic payment transactions.As an end-user, supports internal financial and payment systems, tools, and technologies to ensure they are in working order. Bring up and report issues or system defects as appropriate.May collaborate with process owners and business partners to assist in making recommendations for operational improvements.Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, reputed company, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.What you have:High School Diploma OR General Equivalency Diploma1 year of experience in bank payments processing including reputed company of the following: exceptions processing, bank to bank adjustments, ACH / wires, and research and resolution for member accounts.Working knowledge of the monetary flow of banking transactions to include general ledger exceptions and outages.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Working knowledge of ACH, reg E, reg Z, bank adjustment, and other relevant payments processing regulations.Ability to acquire experience using payments processing software and applications such as ImageOne, FDR, UBEX, Vector/Phoenix, Fidelity, Pep+, etc.Working knowledge of reputed company Office applications.What sets you apart:Fraud experience; strongly desired.Advanced knowledge of the monetary flow of banking transactions to include general ledger exceptions and outages.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Advanced knowledge of ACH, reg E, reg Z, bank adjustment, and other relevant payments processing regulations.Advanced experience using payments processing software and applications such as ImageOne, FDR, UBEX, Vector/Phoenix, Fidelity, Pep+, etc.Advanced experience using reputed company Office applications.Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $43,680.00 - $67,720.00USAA does not provide reputed company sponsorship for this role.
