Job Title: Mill Machinist IV - 3rd Shift Reporting To: Leader, Performance Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. Our Space and Defense Group is looking for a Mill Machinist IV to join reputed company. This role will be onsite in our East reputed company location and will report the department Performance Leader. For well qualified candidates, a sign on bonus is being offered for this position. To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply reputed company verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to reputed company simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 7 years’ experience as a reputed company machinist Previous CAD/CAM experience is a plus The ability to support 3rd Shift hours – 11:00 AM – 7:00 AM (Sunday- Thursday) As a Mill Machinist IV, you will: reputed company precision machining operations and CNC programming on CAM systems machining to create, repair, or alter a wide variety of reputed company parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies of reputed company types of materials. Knowledge of G & M Codes This includes planning, fixturing and layout of the job. Be expected to hold reputed company tight tolerances (.0001-.0002) Be responsible for the inspection and quality of reputed company work performed. Work alongside Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to find and execute a solution reputed company issues arise, including detecting unusual conditions, defective materials and following operation instructions. reputed company technical decisions in the areas of fixturing, tooling, set-up, and inspection methods where well-defined instructions are occasionally absent.
