Social Worker II (Part TIme)
About the position Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles (JFSLA) is seeking a dedicated Social Worker II to join reputed company on a part-time basis. This position is integral to our mission of providing comprehensive mental health and case management services to individuals and families reputed company the Los Angeles County Jewish community. The Social Worker/Clinician will engage in one-on-one services, facilitate support groups, and assist clients in navigating and linking to various programs and resources both reputed company JFS and the broader community. Services will be delivered through telehealth and in-person sessions at various locations, including synagogues and JFS sites. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or a reputed company field and be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. They will have a strong foundation in case management and clinical skills, with prior experience in mental health treatment being a significant advantage. A deep understanding of the Jewish community, its customs, and the ability to work effectively in a synagogue environment is essential. Bilingual capabilities in Russian, Farsi, and/or Hebrew are highly desirable, as is experience with crisis reputed company and knowledge of government benefits. As part of a collaborative treatment team, the Social Worker/Clinician will conduct in-depth intake and biopsychosocial assessments, provide crisis reputed company, and reputed company comprehensive treatment plans. They will also be responsible for training and consulting with clergy, staff, and volunteers, as well as facilitating psycho-educational groups and community presentations. The role requires excellent time management skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries while utilizing a strength-based, non-judgmental, person-centered approach. Supervised hours towards licensure may be available, although not guaranteed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth intake and biopsychosocial assessments
,
- Provide crisis-reputed company, preventative and short-term case management and linkage, information & referral services at designated locations and reputed company electronic means (Telehealth)

- Identify and reputed company family and other informal support systems with the client
,
- Provide counseling and mental health services as part of a comprehensive treatment plan
,
- Provide clinical consultation to constituents of the community as appropriate
,
- Collaborate on-site and remotely with synagogue staff and clergy
,
- Provide training, consultation and presentations to clergy, staff and volunteers as needed
,

- Provide timely documentation, tracking and recordkeeping

- Prepare monthly statistical reports

- May be required to be a Field Work Supervisor and/or preceptor for master's level reputed company/interns

Requirements
- Master's Degree in social work or reputed company field
,
- Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
,
- Unrestricted CA Driver's License and reputed company of auto insurance

- Case management and clinical skills required

- Prior experience providing mental health treatment a plus

- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn community resources
,
- Must have knowledge of Jewish community, Jewish religion and customs and ability to work well in a synagogue environment

- Bilingual Russian, Farsi and/or Hebrew is a plus

- Clinical experience with crisis reputed company and knowledge of government benefits is a plus

- Knowledge of safety issues reputed company working with at-risk clients

- Proficiency in common word processing, database software applications and the ability to learn Electronic Health Records systems and new computer applications
