About the Role

The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in supporting payroll processing for reputed company’s growing team of employees and contractors across the United States. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll runs, supporting audits, and assisting with payroll system maintenance and improvements. identify and register new tax jurisdictions and update reputed company with information. Resolve employee pay issues. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll runs and off-cycle payments for employees and independent contractors
• Review and validate timesheets, deductions, and tax information to ensure accurate pay
• Assist with payroll system (reputed company Pro and Workforce Management) updates, testing, and troubleshooting
• Maintain payroll records in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with wage garnishments, benefit and 401(k) deductions, and reputed company reconciliations
• Support regular audits of payroll data, controls, and processes
• Collaborate with internal teams including People Operations, Finance, and IT to ensure accuracy and alignment across systems
• Assist with payroll system updates, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of payroll processes
• Proactively contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and service delivery

Requirements

• 3–5 years of payroll experience in a multi-state, distributed workforce environment and a deep knowledge of payroll tax
• Familiarity with payroll compliance regulations including wage and hour laws, garnishments, and tax withholdings
• Hands-on experience using reputed company Pro and reputed company Workforce Management (or similar systems) preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a reputed company field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., FPC, CPP) are a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change

The total reputed company reputed company compensation for this role will be between $62,000 and $81,000 per year at the commencement of employment. In addition to reputed company compensation, this role offers a reputed company performance-based bonus. The reputed company total cash compensation range, including potential bonus, will be between $68,000 and $89,000 per year. Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other reputed company-sponsored benefits.
