What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Software Engineer, Back End Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of digital payments by designing and building scalable, high-quality systems. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

• Understand user needs – Use your analytical skills to identify and address user needs, ensuring our back-end solutions are intuitive, effective, and user-focused for the overall product.

• Build and improve products – Help create new features and enhance existing ones, driving the continuous improvement of Satispay's offerings through robust and scalable back-end development.

• Make a difference – Take pride in simplifying payments and improving accessibility through efficient back-end systems, directly contributing to Satispay’s mission while positively impacting users across Europe.

• Collaborate across teams – Work closely with different departments (like Product) to design and deliver features that truly meet user needs through seamless and efficient back-end integration.

• Make an impact – Play a vital role in simplifying payments and improving accessibility through your contributions to the back-end infrastructure, directly contributing to the mission of Satispay: making transactions simpler and more accessible for people.

Expect challenges, collaboration, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life. Our tech stack includes Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Java, Jersey, Spring, and DynamoDB. We rely on AWS for our infrastructure, with RESTful microservices on EC2, RDS/DynamoDB for databases, S3 for storage, AWS Lambda for serverless functions, and Kinesis and ElasticSearch for log streaming. You'll take ownership of your work from start to finish.

Who we’re looking for

We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in! Does this sound like you?

• Extensive Experience – You have at least 7 years of experience in back-end software engineering, with a proven track record of working with microservices, cloud environments, and Agile methodologies.

• Programming expertise – You have deep experience working with Java and a strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).

• Structured communication – You are able to communicate in a structured and convincing manner, adapting your style to build trust positively and professionally with various stakeholders.

• Passion and language skills – You are passionate about FinTech or startup environments and fluent in English.
