Position Title: Group Underwriter II (Stop Loss) Location: California, Colorado, District of Columbia (Washington, DC), Maryland, New York, Washington State United States Full time Job Description: Location: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. The Group Underwriter II (Stop Loss) is responsible for determining acceptability of insurance risks and appropriate premium rates for renewal and prospect employer groups in accordance with corporate underwriting guidelines and authority limits. How You Will Make an Impact Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Calculates stop loss rates for group cases based on analysis of group's experience, industry and demographics.
  • Prepares post-sale reviews.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS in a related field; Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • CPCU, CLU, LOMA, HIAA or other insurance related courses preferred.
  • Stop Loss underwriting experience preferred

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $61,404 to $105,264.
