We envision a future where every company has an AI workforce working alongside their human team. Brainbase enables businesses to create those enterprise-grade AI workers. 

Brainbase is built on a new type of AI agent language our founder developed during his PhD at Harvard, which allows for more complex workflows on a longer time horizon, enabling us to move entire workloads from human employees to AI workers.

We’ve scaled to $XM+ ARR in revenue in one year, and are looking to reach $XXM+ ARR in revenue in the next 6 months. Our customers range from SMBs to Fortune 50s. We’ve raised a seed round from YC, 500 Global and other top tier firms, with participation from the founders of Youtube and Hubspot, as well as many top YC alumni. 

About the role

As our Founding Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll be the tip of the spear for revenue growth by generating pipeline. 

You’ll develop our processes for outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and pipeline building at scale. 

You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers—leveraging prospecting tools (like ZoomInfo, Clay, Unify, [your stack]) to identify, reach, and engage high-value targets. 

This is a unique opportunity to shape Brainbase’s sales strategy from the ground up, working hand-in-hand with Product, Sales, Marketing, and leadership to build a data-driven, high-performing funnel.

What You’ll Do 
  • Own top-of-funnel lead generation, developing customized outreach cadences (email, LinkedIn, cold calling) to engage prospective clients at scale.

  • Actively manage daily outbound activities—expect at least 50+ calls and 100+ emails per day—while continually refining your approach.

  • Track, analyze, and iterate on outreach performance (open rates, reply rates, call connects, call conversions, etc.) to boost conversions.

  • Establish repeatable playbooks for outbound channels, documenting best practices for future SDR team members.

Qualifications

Outbound Sales Experience

  • 1–3 years in a BDR/SDR role (or similar), ideally in a tech startup environment.

  • Consistently exceeded quota in previous roles

  • Comfort with high-volume cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn outreach.

Technical Tool Proficiency

  • Familiarity with lead generation and enrichment tools (ZoomInfo, Clay, Unify, etc.) and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).

Data-Driven Mindset

  • Solid understanding of key prospecting metrics (contact rates, conversion rates, etc.) and how to optimize them.

Process-Oriented

  • Proven ability to build or refine SDR workflows, document procedures, and create repeatable playbooks.

  • Experience setting up A/B tests for outreach sequences and tracking success.

  • Fully in-person in SF

  • OTE $150,000–$200,000 per year | % commission on $ pipeline generated and % generated closed pipeline
