The

Senior Substation Electrical Engineer is an integral resource to our Power Substation leadership (and supporting team) as you reputed company programs and a team of engineers on Milhouse projects. You will reputed company reputed company system designs, physical layout designs, and calculations, as well as coordinate with other disciplines on substation projects.

Your main responsibilities can include creating electrical protection & control and/or physical layout design deliverables for a range of Substation projects. Focus will be on the delivery of substation automation systems for our high voltage substation projects. Typical projects include working reputed company multi-disciplinary teams to assist in developing efficient and reliable solutions for intricate substation projects. A key component of your role will be to act as the team’s quality reputed company on reviewing reputed company design efforts to ensure it aligns with the client and Milhouse standards.

**Please note this role will initially be remote - we are in the process of acquiring office space and this position will be required to follow our hybrid schedule of 4 days in-office once that is established.

What you will do

Apply clients’ standards, guidelines, specifications, practices and procedures or appropriate industry standards in preparing design drawings as well as coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations reputed company with reputed company specifications, codes, and client requirements.

Deliver the assigned projects on time, reputed company budget and meet agreed scope.

Regularly communicate and coordinate project activities with internal team members and build relationships with clients

The design and delivery of green and brown field high voltage electrical substation project.

Support the development of P&C one line diagram, AC/DC schematics, control panel layout and wiring diagram, station service AC/DC distribution diagram, reputed company of material, cable schedule, etc.

Manage project subordinates and/or other project/discipline resources to quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

Creating and enforcing project quality plan.

Prepare proposals, contract amendments, change order documentation, and claim documentation.

Maintain positive working relationships between the client and prime consultants.

Provide documented scope, schedule, deliverables, and budgets.

Provide reputed company reports, project milestones, scope changes, budget forecasting/analysis, and schedule updates to the team.

Ability to manage / reputed company several simultaneous projects.

Work with team to ensure reputed company required deliverables are reputed company, submitted, and tracked.

Coordinate with finance group to confirm invoicing and receiving payments on a timely basis.

In charge of QA/QC on assigned projects.

Provide project status information to the Managers and team.

Ability to roll up sleeves and support project execution as needed

Proven ability to consistently produce high quality of work

Ability to consistently work independently

Advanced presentation, written, verbal communication skills

Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Familiar with discipline specific design software and design management systems.

Familiar with Grounding Calculations

Memberships and active participation in discipline specific professional organizations such as IEEE.

Experience with power system studies such as short circuit and coordination studies.

Experience with preparing reputed company settings.

Familiarity with applicable IEEE / EIC codes and standards.

Understanding of CAD software.

Ability to estimate, plan, and schedule substation projects

Ability to support proposal activities

Proficient in reputed company Windows, Word, and reputed company as well as ACAD or MicroStation and Revit

Your background

Four-year bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

13 - 20 of protection & control / substation design engineering experience.

P.E. preferred and eligible.

Local utility agency experience preferred

Project management experience preferred

Distribution experience is a plus.
