IT Business Analyst

- 5+ years as a Business Analyst supporting software related initiatives
- Enterprise-wide software/application implementation experience (as a BA)
- Requirements gathering, user story creation and documentation experience
- Experience with task tracking and reporting using Azure DevOps (or Jira)
- Experience in waterfall and agile environments, working with IT application development teams
- Experience collaborating with 3rd party vendors
- Experience in a hybrid agile/waterfall software development environment
- Tools experience: Azure DevOps (or similar) and MS Visio (or similar)
- Analytical mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- GIS and/or state government experience preferred
Summary:
- Project: enterprise-wide, multi-year GIS (geospatial) upgrade and enhancements
- Partner with GIS Project Manager, the IT GIS team and business stakeholders
- Collaborate on multi-faceted teams including existing Business Analysts and Testing Professionals as well as third party vendors.
- Main responsibilities will include requirements documentation, user story development, story tracking, and reporting using Azure DevOps.
