Position:IT Business Analyst Duration:6 month contract Location: 100% Remote in the US Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hrs/wk, EST hours Perks: work from home, weekly pay, health benefit, 401k & stock discount options, free training resources covering technical and soft skills Pay Rate Range:W2 $40-50/hr Requirements:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst supporting software related initiatives
  • Enterprise-wide software/application implementation experience (as a BA)
  • Requirements gathering, user story creation and documentation experience
  • Experience with task tracking and reporting using Azure DevOps (or Jira)
  • Experience in waterfall and agile environments, working with IT application development teams
  • Experience collaborating with 3rd party vendors
  • Experience in a hybrid agile/waterfall software development environment
  • Tools experience: Azure DevOps (or similar) and MS Visio (or similar)
  • Analytical mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • GIS and/or state government experience preferred

Summary:

  • Project: enterprise-wide, multi-year GIS (geospatial) upgrade and enhancements
  • Partner with GIS Project Manager, the IT GIS team and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate on multi-faceted teams including existing Business Analysts and Testing Professionals as well as third party vendors.
  • Main responsibilities will include requirements documentation, user story development, story tracking, and reporting using Azure DevOps.
