About the role
We are seeking a Associate Test Engineer to help build and scale our AI-native platform. This role involves developing both the frontend and backend components of our system while implementing advanced AI capabilities that transform how enterprises interact with their data.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements, review user stories, and create focused test charters to guide testing sessions.
- Apply Context-Driven Testing principles to tailor test approaches to the unique needs and constraints of each project.
- Design and perform exploratory tests to uncover usability issues, edge cases, and unexpected behavior.
- Validate product behavior through real-world usage scenarios, prioritizing user impact and business value.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman to verify system interactions and data integrity.
- Write and execute SQL/database queries to validate data flows and investigate test results.
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to drive quality at every stage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing.
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile practices.
- Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and test support.
- Experience with test case and defect management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, JIRA).
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with SQL clients like DBeaver, MySQL Workbench, or pgAdmin.
- Exposure to UI automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Knowledge of version control tools like Git.
- Understanding of performance testing or accessibility testing concepts.
