Engineering Manager II, Toast Delivery Services

The Delivery team is on a mission to make delivery a first-class service model at Toast. We’re building integrated tools to help restaurants manage their own delivery programs, support third-party channels, and manage their orders from the Toast Point of Sale. From guest experience to in-store operations to third-party integrations, our work spans a broad, high-impact surface area. In fact, Toast restaurants that adopt Toast Delivery Services see a 30% increase in revenue on average.

We aim to make Toast the central hub for managing all off-premise orders, consolidating fragmented workflows, reducing operational friction, and giving restaurants full control over the delivery experience​.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

• Drive delivery of business outcomes, including planning and execution
• Collaborate closely with PM and UX to define actionable, valuable work for the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to help your teams accomplish their goals
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of software, including team ownership of monitoring and production issues
• Guide the team’s quality and testing strategy
• Coach engineers for professional and technical development
• Recruit and onboard new team members

• Experience writing, delivering, and operating software in a SaaS environment
• Experience mentoring and developing successful teams
• Experience deeply collaborating with PM and UX partners
• Strong technical background that you use to guide your team’s decisions and plans

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).
