Junior Information Security Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Junior Information Security Specialist who is eager to grow in the field of information security and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Important: the candidate must be fluent in Russian, as internal communication and part of the documentation are primarily in that language.

Responsibilities:

• Support operational processes within the Information Security department (handling requests from internal teams).
• Integrate data sources into ELK and assist with component configuration.
• Optimize Elasticsearch and develop correlation rules for security event analysis.
• Participate in incident response investigations (Triage, Information Enrichment, Analysis, Response, Lesson Learned).
• Monitor security events and analyze logs using the SIEM system.
• Maintain Log Management processes (index setup, log intake).
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and other teams on information security matters.

Requirements:

• Education in Information Security, IT, or related fields (in progress is acceptable).
• Basic understanding of SIEM systems (e.g., ELK/OpenSearch).
• Familiarity with InfoSec tools: FW, IDS/IPS, SIEM, AV/EDR.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and practices (OWASP, MITRE, Cyber Kill Chain, D3FEND Matrix, etc.).
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, VPN, etc.).
• Basic Linux/Unix skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.

Challenges:

• Working with data and events in ELK and SIEM systems.
• Responding to information security incidents within SLA and conducting in-depth investigations.
• Optimizing log management and event correlation to enhance monitoring capabilities.
• Communicating complex technical topics across diverse teams.
• Writing and learning automation scripts for incident response.
