[Remote/WFM] Online English Teachers at COREnglish

Can I apply if I don't have a Bachelor's degree? Yes, you can apply if you don’t have a Bachelor’s degree. Where do I have to live in to be eligible to work for COREnglish? You can teach from anywhere in the world where you have a stable internet connection What kind of equipment do I need? • A computer with a webcam (HD webcam preferred). • A headset with microphone. • Stable Internet connection (wired connection preferred). • Google Chrome browser What kind of requirements does COREnglish need? You can either be a student, a graduate, certified teacher or not. You can still apply with us. Here are some important factors, that are preferred but not mandatory. TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification, or willingness to obtain one. You can join us with or without experience. Degree in any field (Preferred). How long is the contract for? We require a 6-month minimum commitment from our applicants. The contract can be renewed if you wish to. How can I pass my demo? We motivate all our... applicants to learn more about the TPR teaching method to have a successful demo. How long is the interview? It is usually no longer than 30 minutes. How fast will I know if I passed? You will know in less than 24 hours if you passed your interview or demo. How many students do I teach in each class? It depends in the program you get into, our classes are usually 1v1 or 1v6 Do I need to prepare teaching materials? Not at all and that is why it’s so great! Our curriculum is already designed for every class. We recommend teachers to briefly review the materials we send them via email or in their platforms. Do teachers always teach the same students? No, teachers will have different students from week to week unless the students ask to have classes only with the same teacher during their learning period. What is the payment? As an independent contractor, your payment or “service fee” is calculated on a per-class basis (scheduled in 25-minute slots or 45 minute slots) and is composed of a minimum pay between $8-15 US dollars per hour. 45 minute slots are paid as one hour. Two 25 minute slots are paid as an hour. How much tax do I have to pay? As independent contractors, for bad or good, you are responsible for your own taxes in accordance with individual tax jurisdictions or state laws. When and how will teachers be paid? Teachers are paid through direct bank deposits or via PayPal between the 10th – 15th of each month. How are teaching hours counted? Usually our cut offs are every last day of the month, unless advised otherwise. Therefore, you will count all the hours done within that time frame. How long is each class ? It depends, but usually 25 minutes or 45 minutes long. What hours could teachers pick ? Teachers can pick any hours within this time frame: 8 pm EST – 12 pm EST next day, Monday – Friday. What are the minimum working hours per week? We require a minimum of 10 hours per week.
