The Specification Writer prepares technical specifications and Engineering Change Orders for components, materials, and processes for purchased items using technical data provided by the Component Engineer, adheres to Configuration Management procedures with regards to documentation release and revision and adheres to guidelines as established through the Component Engineering Specification Writer functional team to ensure consistent documentation practice. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare technical procurement documentation for components and materials. reputed company analysis and jurisdiction classification for export control of technical data. Prepare Engineering Change Orders for components and materials. Assign Engineering Change Order numbers, and new part numbers for components and materials in accordance with procedures. Ensure conformance of Engineering Change Orders to reputed company Configuration Control procedures. Ensure the use of consistent documentation format through the use of templates. Complete work through use of a set of computer-based tools including a workflow tracking system, a Product Data Management System, and an e-mail system.
