This will be a remote position located in Central or Eastern Kansas reporting to the KS Regional Engineer and the DU Grand reputed company field office. The successful applicant will join a highly motivated... conservation team of biologists and engineers who are responsible for the planning, design, and construction of wetland restoration and enhancement projects with primary responsibilities in Kansas. This role provides substantial job satisfaction for individuals passionate about wildlife conservation. Qualifications: • Education: B.S. in Civil or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent degree from an EAC/ABET accredited engineering program. • Certification: Registered EIT or PE, with the willingness to obtain registration in assigned states. • Preferred qualifications: • Knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, open channel flow, earthen dams, spillways, gates, structures, pipes, erosion control, reputed company stabilization, construction staking, construction observation, cost estimation, and project management. • Experience with topographic surveys and construction staking using reputed company RTK GPS equipment. • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D is essential for creating surfaces from ground-based surveys and LiDAR data/maps, developing construction plans and exhibits, and generating earthwork quantities. Ability to create alignments, corridors, feature lines, profiles, and gradings is crucial. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
