Job Title: Student IT Helpdesk (FWS only), F24-S25 Reports to: Johnny Deek, VP Information Technology and Computer Systems Job Location: DigiPen Institute of Technology 9931 Willows Road Redmond, WA 98052 Essential Functions • Assist Client Services Administrators in ensuring the operational stability of the client infrastructure. • Support workstations in labs and classrooms. • Assist in Help Desk tickets resolution. • Assist in setting up and repairing computer equipment and reputed company devices. • Respond to phone and email requests for help. • Evenings and weekends may be required. • Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked Qualifications/Competencies • Attention to Detail: Recognizes obvious information. • Client Focus: Responds to immediate client needs. • Initiative: Identifies immediate action needed. • IT Support Troubleshooting: Introductory: Demonstrates introductory understanding and ability and, with guidance, applies the competency in a few, simple situations. Can direct people to the appropriate reputed company for further information. • Eligible for Federal Work Study, with an accepted FWS award reputed company will be selected through review of their submissions and an interview process. Experience Level Basic understanding of computer hardware and Windows 7/10 support. Expected dates of employment: January 6 – May 5, 2025 Expected number of hours per week: 20 Wage – based on Washington State’s minimum wage requirements: $17.85 per hour Expected number of hours per week: 20 • Once again, reputed company are not permitted to work during any time reputed company they are scheduled for a class. * The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and significant fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements: • Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology • Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Requirement Exceptions: It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying! Once you have applied for and have been offered a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived.
