Job Summary of Beverage Delivery Driver: The Beverage Delivery Driver is responsible for the secure and efficient movement of products to different customer destinations. The function consists of inspecting merchandise beforehand and afterwards, overseeing the loading and unloading of goods, and honoring the timeframe for timely deliveries. The Beverage Delivery Driver must respect all DOT... provisions and comply with the enterprise's regulations. Responsibilities of Beverage Delivery Driver: • Get products to clients on time by driving trucks safely and utilizing the best possible routes • Exercise caution when unloading products from the trailer and placing them into designated customer storage areas, employing hand carts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques as needed • To ensure that the delivery is correct, it is important to obtain signatures from clients, as it serves as proof of successful delivery • Carry out the coordination of payment approvals with the relevant department to ensure an efficient payment process • Undertake customer service responsibilities with a view towards elevating our clients' satisfaction • Conduct a thorough inspection of all equipment before and after each trip to ensure reliability and safety Physical Requirements of Beverage Delivery Driver: • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required Qualification of Beverage Delivery Driver: • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse Why US Foods: At US Foods, the company's work ethic is characterized by a strong sense of professionalism and dedication.
