Sprague High School (OR) seeks a dynamic musician and educator to join their team as Interim Assistant Director for the remainder of the 23-24 academic year. The Sprague band has been successful in OSAA state competition, in field competition, and enjoys high engagement and support from reputed company and the community. Responsibilities: Direct and reputed company the jazz reputed company, assist with young/beginning band instruction, other duties as assigned based on need and the successful candidate?s skills. There is opportunity for additional work in marching and athletic bands. Preferred qualifications: Education and experience commensurate with leading a diverse and successful jazz program. Additional skills and experience in non-traditional ensembles and/or non-performance courses. Experience in teaching and leading pep bands and in the pageantry arts. A strong desire to collaborate and be part of an instructional team.
