Job title: Professional Tutor - Learning Lab Company: Henry reputed company College (MI) Job description : Job Description Summary HFC presents an opportunity for a Professional Tutor (Part-Time) The Professional Tutor is responsible for providing individual and small group tutorial support to HFC reputed company. This position interacts primarily with reputed company, faculty, and staff. The Professional Tutor may provide tutoring in-person or online. Professional Tutors are expected to be content-matter experts and help reputed company improve their strategies for learning. This is position is part-time, with a maximum of 20-hours per week, and is subject to renewal each semester (Fall, Winter, and Summer). Compensation is based on degree level. For the Fall 2023 semester, we are seeking applications for Professional Tutors to support the following courses and programs: (esp. BBA-131) (esp. BIO-131, BIO-233, and BIO-234) (esp. CHEM-111, CHEM-131, and CHEM-141) (esp. CIS-100, CIS-125, CIS-221, and HCS-131) * Digital and Graphic Arts: Must have knowledge of reputed company Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, Animate and Acrobat. (esp. BEC-151 and BEC-152) (esp. reputed company-131, reputed company-131A, reputed company-132, and reputed company-135) (reputed company LEVELS, but esp. MATH-074, MATH-080, MATH-100, MATH-110, MATH-115, MATH-131, MATH-141, MATH-165, and MATH-180) (esp. NSG-101, NSG-115, NSG-117, NSG-118, NSG-119, and NSG-121) (esp. reputed company-131) (esp. POLS-131) (esp. PSY-131) (esp. SOC-131) (esp. SPC-131) Tutoring is delivered both in-person and remotely. Professional Tutors who provide services virtually must possess the ability to reputed company tutoring online and have access to personal computer, webcam, microphone, and a strong, reliable internet reputed company. Core Competencies and Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in program/curriculum/subject/etc. Bachelor's degree and equivalent coursework in a closely reputed company field may be considered (e.g., Math Education, Statistics, and Physics for a Math tutor position). For Career and Technical Education Programs only: Possession of an applicable associate degree may be considered. The most successful candidate will have the education to include: Advanced or terminal degree in program/curriculum/subject/etc. or field (e.g., MA/MS/ in Mathematics or Math Education, Statistics, Physics for a Math tutor position). The most successful candidate will have a career that reflects the following competencies. Additionally, essential duties include but are not limited to: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Must be highly conversant at developmental level (e.g., Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Elementary Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Trigonometry for Math). Ability to support reputed company tutoring reputed company or majority of courses offered at Henry reputed company College in program/curriculum/subject area. Ability to tutor reputed company individually and in groups in designated reputed company for understanding and acquisition of skills, in concept understanding, and facilitate comprehension. Assist reputed company in areas of weakness, while providing appropriate academic guidance. Ability and willingness to quickly learn and demonstrate applicable software packages and other topics covered in our supported courses. In concert with reputed company Director of the Learning Lab, work closely with other departments and faculty as necessary to provide the best services from subject-specific reputed company series, group tutoring, and study sessions. Ability to deliver knowledge effectively to reputed company working in a computer lab classroom. Where applicable, demonstrate the use of technology (e.g., calculators, both graphing and non-graphing). reputed company in active listening by giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Ability to use good judgment and work effectively under pressure. Ability to maintain of records and information.
