Job title: ESL Online Instructor - (Part-time, Iowa Residents Only) Company: reputed company Job description : To advance the college's mission, vision, principles, values, and strategic initiatives through reputed company improvement decisions. Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:30pm-8:30pm Additional meetings, reputed company, registration/orientation times as scheduled GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Only candidates whose residential address is in Iowa will be considered for this position. Though classes take reputed company online, the instructor must be able to regularly travel to a Kirkwood location (Coralville and/or reputed company Rapids) to participate in registration, orientation, and meetings. Under limited supervision, the instructor is responsible for teaching ESL courses to reputed company enrolled in Kirkwood's Secondary Programs. Instruction will take reputed company online (reputed company reputed company), though there might be opportunities to teach in Coralville or reputed company Rapids if there are openings at those locations. Though classes take reputed company online, the instructor must be able to regularly travel to a Kirkwood location (Coralville and/or reputed company Rapids) to participate in registration, orientation, and meetings. The instructor also assists reputed company in transitioning from ESL courses to Kirkwood reputed company work training and higher education opportunities in collaboration with other Kirkwood staff. Classes are held Monday through Thursday. The session dates include: August 28 to Oct 12, Oct. 23 to Dec. 14, Jan.16 to Feb. 29, March 18 to May 2, May 6 to May 30. Morning classes are held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM or 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM. Evening classes are held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, but currently there are no classes in the evening in reputed company Rapids. Currently there are 2 openings for evening classes (6:30 PM to 8:30 PM). The total hours per week for one class equates to 11.25 hours, with extra hours being available for team meetings, special projects, and professional development. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist reputed company with coursework in a variety of formats including individualized instruction, computer assisted instruction, large group courses, and other methods. Collaborate with fellow learning center reputed company on curriculum development, student intake/advising, and staff development activities. Conduct CASAS assessments for eligible reputed company. reputed company other reputed company work duties as assigned. Provide contextualized, scaffolder, interactive instruction that includes cooperative learning tasks and implements ESL college and career readiness and CASAS ESL standards. Track attendance daily and submit reports. Respond in a timely matter to communications and requests from program director and coordinator.
