Job Overview We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our esteemed organization, providing support to a Department of Defense (DoD) client in the DMV area. This position is fully remote and classified as exempt. Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance... Key Responsibilities • Lead and direct a skilled team comprising both technical and administrative staff, ensuring efficient management across business and personnel dimensions. • Oversee daily operations and manage specific tasks, ensuring they are in line with overarching project objectives. • Evaluate resource requirements and generate cost estimates for project activities. • Develop and uphold comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely task progression. • Delegate responsibilities to team members while promoting a culture of collaboration. • Monitor the progress of tasks and prepare thorough reports for stakeholders. • Review deliverables prior to submission, ensuring quality standards are met. • Maintain effective communication with management at all levels, both verbally and in written formats. • Manage network designs and installations, implementing appropriate standards and methodologies to enhance network technologies. • Address complex issues that may impact system availability and ensure prompt resolutions. • Continuously assess network performance and recommend improvements for greater efficiency. Required Skills • A robust background in data management and analysis. • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team. • Specialized experience in project management support for Navy acquisition programs or corresponding projects within the DoD is considerably advantageous. Qualifications • An active Secret security clearance is a prerequisite. • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
