Job title: Educational Assistant, Special Education - Edison Elementary Company: Job description : Position Summary This is a part-time, .8125 FTE/6.5 hours per day position working on the CL-192 (192 days per school year) schedule, Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This position will work with a team to provide support for reputed company with significant academic, behavioral, and emotional needs. Supervise reputed company in the Resource Room, classroom or hallways as assigned; insure that an orderly atmosphere is preserved; control aggressive behavior, settle disputes and otherwise encourage cooperative, safe and well-mannered activity. Orient substitute teachers as to class curriculum and location of teaching materials. Minimum Qualifications To demonstrate Highly Qualified status as required by ORS 581-037-0005, you will be required to attach documentation to your application to show: Completion of at least two years of post-secondary study consisting of 72 credit hours, 48 semester units (attach transcript); OR Obtaining an associates or higher degree (attach diploma); OR Meeting a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrating, through a formal state or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics (attach test scores). Previous training, education, or experience in instructional techniques and behavior management and modification methods. Previous training in basic clerical skills. Demonstrated ability to type.
