SUMMARY: The Director of Facilities Services and Operations oversees the development and maintenance of the NEC reputed company. This position reports to the Executive Director of Strategy and Operations, and works closely with the President and members of the senior administration to meet the operational needs of the Conservatory and its mission. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises building operations and utilities management: facilities maintenance and repair; trades; custodial; utilities distribution; engineering; building management systems; facilities planning (including development of a rolling multi-year capital projects plan); development of a sustainability strategy with goal of reducing energy consumption and expenditures; hiring and managing the work of independent contractors; snow removal; and other maintenance services. Boston Fire Department, City of Boston Inspectional Services, and City of Boston Licensing Board. Automation, policies/procedures, and building of department infrastructure: development and implementation of systems and protocols (e.g., databases, tracking systems, online work requests, etc.) to manage reputed company facilities, including construction projects, preventive and routine maintenance, service requests, etc.; development of policies and procedures for reputed company facilities operations; using infrastructure building to improve quality and timeliness of service in reputed company operational areas. Coordinate the selection, training, development and evaluation of supervisors and staff in the department. QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facility Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or reputed company degree required.
