We are looking for a committed individual to join our small, friendly local authority as a Leaving Care Support Worker. In this varied and rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the lives of care leavers aged 16 to 25. To succeed in this position, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young people, their families, and partner agencies effectively. Creativity and perseverance are essential for finding innovative solutions to challenges, while strong organizational skills will help you manage multiple tasks and adapt as needed. The Leaving Care Team is a dedicated group focused on providing essential support to ensure the best outcomes for our young people and care leavers. Our leadership understands the importance of creating a secure environment for social care workers to reputed company. In this role, you will conduct holistic assessments for young people returning to the service post-21 and organize positive activities while... coordinating education, training, and employment opportunities for care leavers. You will also reputed company specific projects aimed at increasing employment opportunities, reducing social isolation, and expanding available resources. Promoting the Leaving Care Service to partner agencies is a key part of the job, and you will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of young people, which may include occasional travel and evening work. Any successful internal candidate will be offered the position as a secondment and, in line with Section 8.1 of the Secondment Policy, must consult with their manager before applying.
