About the position The Remote HEDIS Customer Service Representative (CSR) position at TEKsystems involves coordinating the retrieval of medical records from provider offices and hospitals. The role requires effective communication, data entry, and collaboration with team members to ensure the smooth flow of medical record retrieval processes. The CSR will utilize various tools, including Microsoft Excel, to manage projects and report progress while maintaining a focus on customer service within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

  • Call provider offices & hospitals to request medical records.

,

  • Record progress and data entry in abstraction tool.

,

  • Coordinate with Administrative Lead and Medical record reviewers to manage caseload.

,

  • Work as a team member to organize medical records and resources for MRR processes.

,

  • Make follow-up calls regarding expected charts and provide information to offices.

,

  • Send fax requests to providers.

,

  • Research provider information and claims using online websites/internal applications.

,

  • Daily use of Microsoft Excel to manage projects and report to leads on progress and barriers.

,

  • Persevere to find the correct information to retrieve medical records.

,

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including possible minimal traveling.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Healthcare experience.

,

  • 3 years of Medical Records/Case Management preferred.

,

  • Experience in Medical Record Retrieval.

,

  • Strong documentation and follow-up skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service within the healthcare industry.

  • Computer literacy.
