Fall 2025 Undergraduate Intern, Communications- Creative

The ACLU seeks an Undergraduate Intern in the Communications Department of the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY. This is a full-time, remote position. Intern is required to be based in the U.S. The Team: The Comms Team is responsible for promoting the ACLU’s mission, its brand and its programs through multi-faceted campaigns, digital communications, publications and digital platforms. What You’ll Do: The Graphic Design intern will be responsible for a variety of branding and key issue projects including supporting the organization’s digital asset management, the production of printed materials for a variety of purposes as well as graphics for the ACLU web site(s), multimedia and social media channels. Your Day to Day

• Website and multimedia graphics and design collateral
• Social media promotional design; memes
• Online advertising design support; buttons, banners
• Print project support
• Creative process coordination as directed by Digital Design lead

What You’ll Bring:

• Digital design and/or print experience on Mac (PC okay).
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Premiere, After Effects or video editing skills welcome.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
• Commitment to civil liberties.

Internship Logistics:

• Location: Our internship program offers a limited number of remote or hybrid intern positions. This internship is full-time and Remote from our NY National office.
• Time Commitment: Part-time (20 hours/week) or Full-time (35 hours/week).
• Internship Duration: Full-time internships span 10 consecutive weeks and part-time 12 weeks. This internship has a start date of: September 9th or September 23rd
• Stipend: A stipend is available for students who are lawfully authorized to work. Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit.
• Below are the stipend rates:
• $20/hr for undergraduate students or equivalent experience
• $24/hr for graduate and law students or equivalent experience
