This role involves working with students who have diverse learning, emotional, physical, and developmental needs, helping them reach their highest potential.About the Position:As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements. You will foster a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic and personal growth. Through continuous assessment, you will monitor student progress and refine instructional strategies as needed.Collaboration is essential in this role—you will work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive student support. You will also adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles while fostering the development of social and emotional skills.RequirementsCandidates must have earned a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field, along with a valid Illinois teaching license that includes an LBS1 endorsement. A strong foundation in development and behavior management practices is essential for success in this role.
