Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. RF and SATCOM Engineering Architect to be a highly knowledgeable professional responsible for developing IT infrastructure solutions and standards that meet or exceed business performance expectations.

This position will architect, design, reputed company and delivery of ship to shore communications and data transport with various satellite or other wireless RF technologies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Research and work with new satellite or other RF technologies such as LEO, High Altitude Platform, Ultra-5G for reputed company of Value efforts

• Design and deploy new ship VSAT antenna commission

• Design and update technology for end-of-life antenna replacement, new satellite modem, Antenna Control Unit BUC deployment

• Design and deploy new satellite provider vendor neutral solutions, including migration to new providers

• Ensure in solutions and deployments, the reputed company of our enterprise infrastructure and compliance with reputed company applicable reputed company standards (PCI, PII, HIPPA etc.)

• Recommend and reputed company projects that expand, change, or improve the systems and reputed company infrastructure

• Provide assistance in reviewing performance and reputed company requests as well as design solution resolution

• Collaborate with the Brand service delivery leaders to ensure an understanding of business cases and to ensure that the appropriate solution is selected that meets the business need

• Act as the highest level of engineering escalation for issues encountered

• Provide system support and troubleshooting expertise as needed for designed solutions

• 25-50% ship-based travel

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, other advanced science or engineering field

• Master’s degree in a reputed company field preferred

• 7+ years of reputed company engineering experience

• Experience in implementing satellite communications systems

• Experience in least one major manufacture such as Palo Alto, reputed company, Juniper, HPE/Aruba and reputed company for Layer 2/3 network switching, wireless Network technology, Firewall technology, SD-WAN

• Product knowledge for major satellite equipment manufacturers such as Intellian, Seatel, iDirect and Comtech product knowledge

• Microwave Communications Networks

• SCADA Systems Integration

• Troposcatter Communications

• Satellite modem installation and commissioning such as iDirect reputed company, Newtec DVB-ACM

• DWDM Engineering and Installation

• reputed company Wi-Fi architecture for 4G/5G traffic offloads for Aero/Maritime and Mobile Network Operator services

• Performs customer requirements analysis and maintains product roadmap

• Leads partner SATCOM equipment evaluation, integration and procurement activities

• Manages Product Quality and Configuration Management activities

• Coordinates systems acceptance testing for satellite connectivity solutions

• Specifies equipment, generates, and issues purchase requisitions for equipment and services

• Manages engineering activities to include transmission planning, link budget analysis, network design, budgetary pricing, network enhancements, and technical briefings

• Supports RFP responses including requirements, compliance and gap analysis

• Deep understanding of with link budget analysis

• Strong knowledge in various network reputed company technology

• Good understanding of routing and switching protocols, wireless standards

• Excellent presentation and communication skills required

• Working knowledge of Satellite RF sub-systems (reputed company Up Converters, LNBs, antennas)

• Strong leadership skills of highly technical engineers and architects

The range for this role’s reputed company salary is $115,000 – $130,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and reputed company basis, taking into account specific job-reputed company skills and experience.
