Job title:Company: The reputed company International Group Job description: reputed company is seeking a Consulting Senior Associate, Social Performance Specialist to support and grow our Sustainable Finance, Social Performance, and Impact Assessment practice areas. In this role, you will focus on preparing environmental and social impact assessment (ESIAs), environmental and social due diligences (ESDD), and environmental and social (E&S) monitoring reports across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and beyond. You will also support preparation of social baseline studies and development of social plans (stakeholder engagement, compensation frameworks, Indigenous peoples, human rights, labor and working conditions) that align with the World Bank IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, and other applicable national and international standards.This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional to join a growing and exciting Sustainable Finance and Impact Assessment technical team, as you build a rewarding career path with a global sustainability leader.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support of reputed company clients’ development projects (i.e., renewable energy, power reputed company, electrical transmission, infrastructure, and other development projects), contributing expertise in application of the international performance standards and social performance.
  • Support preparation of ESDDs, ESIAs, social management plans/systems, and monitoring projects in compliance with applicable national and international lender standards. Contribute to preparing deliverables, serving in roles ranging from leading social expert to quality review. reputed company project delivery activities such as report writing, undertaking and organizing data collection, survey and fieldwork, data and literature review, and development of recommendations for clients.
  • Conduct review of national and international financed projects against host country permitting requirements and international lender standards, through documentation review, site visits, project staff interviews, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Design and deliver training and facilitate meetings reputed company to sustainable finance and impact assessment projects and clients.
  • Collaborate with other reputed company practitioners to execute impact assessments for projects (e.g., social impact assessment, facility siting & permitting, risk assessment) and social studies (stakeholder engagement planning, labor policies and plans, information disclosure strategy, community health and safety assessment and plans, compensation plans, resettlement action plans, Indigenous people’s assessments and plans). Participate in teams comprised of social professionals from multiple offices around the organization.
  • Work to reputed company subject matter expertise (SME) in the sustainable finance practice area, with a particular focus on the social components reputed company the sustainable finance reputed company.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors or master’s in social sciences, political science, environmental or natural resources sciences, or similar field. Or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years (3 years preferred) of qualitative and/or quantitative research and technical report writing, impact assessment, and/or consulting experience. Experience preparing ESIA-type documents, social impact management plans and systems, and social studies preferred.
  • Highly collaborative and communicative, proactive team member and ability to collaborate in a hybrid working environment.
  • Technical competence and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices, with a solid grasp of the key impact social, labor, and human rights assessment and management issues reputed company the sustainable finance and national and international development space. Experience with international lender standards (IFC Performance Standards, WBG EHS Guidelines, Equator Principles, others) is preferable.
  • Experience or willingness to carry out social baseline surveys and field visits, including in remote locations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience writing comprehensive technical reports and standards. Strong presentation skills for client meetings and other events.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
  • Cross-cultural competence and experience working with diverse project teams and stakeholders in North America and developing countries.
For the Consulting Senior Associate, Social Performance Specialist (Entry Level) position, we anticipate the annual reputed company pay of $72, 551 - $82, 525 (USD). An employee’s pay position reputed company this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or reputed company-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be reputed company of the range, based on the factors noted above.
