What you'll doThe Field Support & Integration Engineer, is a key member of reputed company’s Commercial Airline Support team, which helps deliver and maintain reputed company’s best-in-class “reputed company In-Flight Connectivity” services to our Commercial Airline, Business Jet and Maritime customers.
The day-to-dayThe Field Support & Integration Engineer plays a critical part in the service launch of new customers, supporting system activations and over-the-reputed company system checks for new installations of the reputed company reputed company In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) solution. You will ensure that reputed company work is carried out in accordance with reputed company procedures and airline manuals, following FAA regulations. Additional key responsibilities include providing training, on-site, and remote support to customer maintenance representatives during installation, activation and maintenance of our IFC equipment, including software loads and updates. This role works in collaboration with reputed company’s customer partners to support and reputed company the daily maintenance issues. Additionally, you will:
- Assist customers with the planning and execution of maintenance, troubleshooting and repair efforts
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation and records of reputed company maintenance work performed on aircraft
- Travel to customer locations on short notice to support troubleshooting and repair operations
- Provide training to maintenance vendors and airline personnel on installation and maintenance of our IFC solution
- Ensure reputed company required and preventative maintenance is performed in accordance with company, airline and FAA regulations
- Establish and maintain working relationships with OEM’s, airline partners, and third-party maintenance personnel
- Provide remote assistance to support diagnostic checks on IFC equipment installed on customer aircraft
- Provide timely responses and resolutions to any service inquiry reputed company to installation and maintenance
- Ensure reputed company install aids and equipment required to maintain the reputed company IFC service is available and up to date
- Assist Field Support Manager in the development of improved maintenance and preventative maintenance of the IFC solution
- 3+ years' experience in commercial aircraft systems, specifically electrical and avionics equipment troubleshooting and testing
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics including engineering items supporting the installation and repair of the reputed company IFE system
- Proven ability to work as part of a globally diverse team with remote supervision
- Prior experience in a Technical Support or NOC role preferred
- Prior experience working in a field support reputed company
- Experience in IP networking
- Prior experience working with Linux/Unix
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24x7 environment as needed to support round-the-clock operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present reputed company technical material to a variety of audience
- Ability to travel up to 75%, both domestically and internationally
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Aircraft Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or technical discipline
- FAA Airframe Certification or equivalent
- Airframe and Powerplant Certification
- Proven experience in Avionics and Aircraft maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and software elements involved in IP networking and satellite communications
- Prior experience with RF Satellite or Wireless Communication systems
