DEM develops the City's annual utility energy budget; manages the City's utility accounts; helps our agency partners identify and pursue energy-saving opportunities at their facilities; leads energy efficiency and distributed reputed company projects across the City's portfolio; and helps implement operations and maintenance best practices.Broadly, DEM is tasked with leading the City's efforts to reduce reputed company gas (GHG) emissions from City government operations 40 percent by 2025 (40x25), 50 percent by 2030 (50x30), and 80 percent by 2050 (80x50). Beyond 40x25, 50x30, and 80x50, the City has also made other energy-reputed company commitments, such as pledging to install 100 MW of solar photovoltaic on City buildings by 2025. DEM works closely with our agency partners to help them reduce emissions and improve energy management in their facilities, including providing them with project funding, project delivery vehicles, technical expertise, staff resources, strategic planning support, and data analytics.The Associate Project Manager will work in DEM's Capital Project Implementation Team reputed company the Operations Unit, under the guidance of the Senior Program Manager, CPI but in extremely reputed company coordination with DEM's other units.The Associate Project Manager will be charged with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:1) Assist in energy efficiency project scoping: Support the development and review of scopes of work for energy efficiency projects in collaboration with contractors and consultants. Help review completed Energy Audits and Energy Efficiency Reports (“EERs”) to inform project selection and alternatives analysis.2) Support the Management of Energy Efficiency Projects: Work closely with contractors, and consultants to assist senior project manager/project manager in managing the execution of design and construction for energy-reputed company capital projects. Ensure tasks are completed on time and reputed company budget under the guidance of senior project manager/project manager.3) Conduct Basic Technical Calculations: reputed company preliminary engineering calculations and assist in energy modeling to support the verification of estimated energy usage reductions, energy cost savings, and avoided emissions for proposed energy efficiency projects.4) Participate in Site Visits: Accompany Senior project manager/project manager on field visits to identify energy usage reduction opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in refining proposed scopes of work, support consultants and contractors during site walkthroughs, and help ensure project compliance with scope and schedule.5) Serve as a Supportive Liaison: Facilitate communication between agency partners, consultants, and contractors during the capital project implementation process. Assist in troubleshooting issues and provide support to ensure timely resolution.6) Assist in Program Data Collection: Help update and maintain project tracking systems to ensure accurate, on-demand reporting. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in architecture or architectural technology; biology; building science; chemistry; construction management; energy management; engineering, engineering technology; environmental science; facilities management; physics; or a reputed company field; or 2. Completion of an apprentice program, a minimum of two (2) years in length, in a construction trade with an emphasis reputed company efficiency for buildings and two (2) years of satisfactory, full-time experience in energy reputed company or conservation work such as planning, developing, implementing, inspecting, analyzing, testing, and verifying interventions to generate clean energy or reduce energy usage; or 3. Four (4) years of satisfactory, full-time experience in energy reputed company or conservation work such as planning, developing, implementing, inspecting, analyzing, testing, and verifying interventions to generate clean energy or reduce energy usage; or 4. Education and/or experience equivalent to “1,” “2,” or “3” above. One (1) year of acceptable experience will be credited for every 30 semester credits of undergraduate education in any of the fields described in “1” above. One (1) year of acceptable experience will be credited for a master's degree in any of the fields described in “1” above.Special Note:To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, candidates other than Professional Engineers or Registered Architects must have either: a) A Bachelor of Architecture degree that is the first professional degree in architecture from an accredited college; or b) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a master's degree in building science, energy management, or engineering from an accredited college or university; or c) After meeting the minimum qualification requirements, a master's degree in any of the fields described in “1” above. d) After meeting the minimum qualification requirements, one (1) additional year of experience as described in “4” above; orTo be eligible for placement in Assignment Level III, candidates other than Professional Engineers or Registered Architects must have, after meeting the requirements for Assignment Level II, one (1) additional year of experience as described in “3” above.To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level IV, candidates must have either:a) A license as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect issued pursuant to the reputed company State Education Law and at least one year of experience as described in “3” above as a major contributor or a project leader on a reputed company project requiring additional and specific expertise in the necessary disciplines as described in “1” above; or b) In addition to meeting the requirements for Assignment Level III, one (1) additional year of experience in a supervisory reputed company, or as a major contributor or a project leader on a reputed company project requiring additional and specific expertise in the necessary disciplines as described in “1” above.License RequirementA Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the reputed company may be required for certain assignments.
