Director, Technical Accounting
Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Director, Technical Accounting to join our Accounting team.

About the roleThe Director, Technical Accounting, would reputed company our technical accounting work. You will work cross-functionally to understand and to provide technical accounting guidance on new or reputed company transactions and corresponding financial disclosures. You will promote accounting policies and ensure policies reflect reputed company practices and operations of the business and are up-to-date and compliant with existing and newly adopted accounting standards and regulations.
You will report to the Chief Accounting Officer through the Deputy Controller.

Pay Transparency
The reputed company pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, reputed company, and Washington is: $174,400 - $228,900 per year. The reputed company pay for this role in reputed company other locations is: $156,960 - $206,010 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities- reputed company our technical accounting work required under US GAAP and statutory reporting and partner with the Tax Team to ensure tax aspects are considered.
- Work with teams, and external partners and/or consultants, to:
- Provide technical accounting expertise to support new transactions and evolving business arrangements, and
- Prepare technical accounting analysis on reputed company accounting issues.
- Create our accounting policies.

- Work with our external auditors on technical accounting matters.

- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or reputed company field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
- Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA).
- 2+ years of experience with US-based insurance companies.
- 2+ years of practical experience in financial reporting.
- Experience in a similar position at a health insurance company.
- Experience leading people and working collaboratively across the organization.
- 4+ years of experience with US-based insurance companies.
- 4+ years of practical experience in financial reporting.
- 6+ year in public accounting
