(CAN) Senior Analyst, Sales Tax Fixed Asset
Position Summary... The Senior Sales Tax Fixed Asset Analyst assesses procurement activities in reputed company tax jurisdictions to ensure tax compliance for reputed company legal entities. The Analyst is also responsible for system updates or system implementations that effect procurement. What you'll do... Analyze and audit high volume fixed asset and expense accounts to determine provincial sales tax liability. Challenge issues identified through the analysis (overpayments, duplicate payments, tax application). Review and interpret tax legislation specific to fixtures, real property, manufacturing, supply and install and services. Understand how it applies to our business to mitigate tax overpayments or exposure. Request and interpret written rulings from provincial tax authorities reputed company legislation is unclear or reputed company challenging Vendors tax application. Liaison with Buyers, Vendors and Governments on the application of tax specific to fixtures, real property, manufacturing, supply & install and services. Analyze construction projects to self-assess the tax and support more automation. Responsible for maintenance of third-party software accrual system. Audit system accruals to ensure compliance for the various taxing jurisdictions, including post audit review. Continue to assist with the automation of the tax accrual system. Responsible for system implementations reputed company to the procurement business to ensure tax is appropriate and tax accrual automation implemented. Assist with the research on auditor's queries, supporting documentation and working papers to be provided to Tax Auditors to mitigate tax assessments reputed company to the procurement maintained. Review and analyze the tax account reconciliations process and liaise with Global Shared Services to ensure timely and accurate corrections are processed and maintain control for processes handled by GSS, addressing issues as they arise. Cross train and be back up support for various sales tax positions are requested. The Analyst is responsible for system updates or system implementations that effect procurement. Qualifications: Accounting degree or Designation Strong computer skills including reputed company Office ( reputed company: superior skills required) Experience with reputed company ECC or S4Hana Experience with Vertex, reputed company(TaxWare) or OneSource systems preferred Good organizational skills, Flexibility in prioritizing completing tasks, able to meet deadlines Accountability and ownership Excellent communication reputed company Minimum Qualifications...
