About the position Our growing business is looking for skilled problem solvers to join our team as an Online Chat Specialist (Entry Level). This position is designed for an enthusiastic individual who can engage with visitors online and address any questions they may have while visiting a website. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quick and accurate assistance to customers, ensuring a positive experience during their online interactions. The Online Chat Specialist will report to the Online Chat Manager and will be tasked with a variety of customer support-related duties for the company and our clients. In this role, the Online Chat Specialist will interact daily with visitors on our client’s websites through online chat software, providing exceptional customer support in real time. The ability to handle multiple incoming requests for information is crucial, as is the capacity to remain calm under pressure while delivering enthusiastic customer service. This position is remote, allowing the specialist to work from home while maintaining a professional demeanor and a positive attitude throughout their interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming customer live chats regarding website navigation issues, service questions, and general client concerns.

  • Evaluates customer interactions and elevates issues to Online Chat Manager when appropriate.

  • Creates relationships with new customers to better understand and achieve their needs.

  • Responds to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately.

  • Promotes interest in client products and services.

  • Continually portrays and projects a positive and professional image.

  • Provides administrative support to the customer service team.

  • May assist with overflow work and other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work well both independently and within a team-oriented environment.

  • PC keyboarding and internet experience needed.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal.
