Spatial Web Technologies Manager

Here, you'll do more than join something - you'll add something. The Vision Pro team is looking for a manager to help shape the future of the Spatial Web. The Spatial Web Technologies team works to define, iterate, and implement standards and technologies to deliver an incredible browsing experience in the realm of Spatial Computing. You will work with experts in this area from around the world. As the manager of this team, you will work closely with others working on various aspects of the browsing experience. This includes managers of partner teams, engineers from across the company, and our design and marketing teams. You'll build strong relationships, find the best solutions, and advocate for a great customer experience on visionOS. Description The Spatial Web Technologies team is focused on delivering standards and browser advancements in the field of Spatial Computing. This includes designing new standards, taking feedback, reaching consensus, implementing solutions, developing examples, and advocating for adoption in the broader web developer community. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills as well as an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. The ability to work as a teammate is significant, as this hands-on position requires multi-functional collaboration with engineers and leaders across domains. Experience leading a software development team and a consistent track record of bringing products to market are critical to this role.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on web technologies or supporting web standards.
• A background solving technical challenges in an application development environment while supporting the engineering teams, building and managing their relationships, and navigating their delivery dependencies.
• Deep technical understanding and hands-on experience with software development and lifecycle management.
• Experience building and leading a team of senior and junior engineers.
• Strong background building customer-facing User Interfaces.
• Experience working closely with design partners and familiarity with design practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to filter and distill meaningful information to the right audience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developing web browsers and web technologies. Ideal candidates will have experience leading standards through the W3C.
• Passion for the potential of the Spatial Web.
• Extensive experience with AR/VR hardware.

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
