Temporary Wholesale Delivery Driver - Part Time Position Summary The Temporary Wholesale Delivery Driver is part of a driver team responsible for providing efficient and safe delivery of produce by the case or pallet to clients within NYC (5 Boroughs). This role is to provide additional coverage within our driving team, and act as a driver helper when necessary. Requirements: Temporary Wholesale Deliver Driver Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to): ? Drivers obtain their assigned trucks and routes from our warehouse in The Bronx, make deliveries in a 16? to 26? refrigerated truck with a lift gate, and operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklifts as needed ? Drivers deliver orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time ? They are expected to provide professional customer service, keep all delivery documents and invoices neat and organized, and communicate with supervisors regarding lateness, equipment issues, and damaged or missing product ? Following delivery driving routes and time schedules ? Providing customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients ? Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record Qualifications ? One-year Commercial truck driving experience? ? Familiarity with and driving knowledge of NYC streets ? Must be comfortable interacting with customers Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, operate a commercial vehicle, and work in noisy environments. Schedule Shift assignments may occur any day between Monday-Saturdays. Early AM shift start times typically between 3:30AM-5:30AM. Shift end times vary according to route. Average 8-hour shifts and 16 - 32 hours per week.
Compensation
This is a non-exempt part-time, temporary position. It pays $24 per hour and includes statutory benefits. This is a temporary position funded through June 2025.
