Responsibilities* The Registrar Lead at a fast-paced hospital is responsible for overseeing the registration process, ensuring the efficient and accurate collection of patient information at the point of entry. This role involves managing a team of registrars, providing training and support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The Registrar Lead is instrumental in maintaining a smooth workflow in a high-pressure environment, collaborating with various departments, and addressing patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism. Additionally, the role requires continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency. ? Courteously and professionally greets patients. ? Obtain accurate demographic insurance information. Correctly code and verify insurance coverage. ? Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs. Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions. ? Process medical records requests. ? Train new staff. ? Prepare monthly paperwork for scanning. ? Prepare bank deposits. ? Audit patient charts for accuracy. ? Maintain consistent communication within the department. (1) year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience ? (2) years of Customer Service experience ? American Heart Association-issued BLS card ?
