After School Teacher (part-time 3:30-5:30)

Position Overview Teachers are responsible for providing quality evidence-based and/or curriculum-centered programming to club members in a safe, supportive, experiential learning environment. Job Responsibilities ? Implement MindWork's Project Based Learning academic programs. ? Stimulates interest in education and career development activities and encourages participation by all members. ? Maintains a system of internal evaluation including individual student records, report card grades, attendance and progress. ? Periodically reviews individual student diagnostic data to identify areas in need of support and intervention. ? Identifies opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the educational program. ? Maintains consistent communication with supervisor in relation to the clubs academic progress. Qualifications ? BA/BS Degree from an accredited university or college in a field related to education. ? Must have a valid Florida Teaching Certificate. ? Experience with Project Based Learning. ? Strong communication skills both verbal and written. ? Ability to work easily with people at all levels and geographies within the organization.

Compensation

This position is part time (10 to 12.5 hours per week) and offers an hourly rate of $35.00 per hour. Schedule is Monday - Friday (2 options) Afternoon Shift - 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM Evening Shift - 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County also offers retirement plan options, paid time off and, Holiday pay.
