What You Can Expect As the Controls Engineer II for ENGIE FlexGen (Flexible Generation including Storage, Thermal, and Hydrogen) North America you will be a key developer in a cross-functional development group. Within ENGIE’s dynamic environment, you will be expected to design, implement and test control algorithms for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Every day, you will provide input on controls, simulation and modeling development in a wide range of software development activities and occasionally be the sole development resource on a project. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor's degree in Control Systems, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in developing controls systems • Experience in developing controls code using CodeSys, MATLAB/Simulink or other PLC Programming platforms • Experience developing or working with Human Machine Interface (HMI) development software such as Ignition, PanelView • Strong understanding of network communication architectures, telemetry, and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, MQTT etc.) • Knowledge of Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing paradigms • Experience with software development lifecycle tools and version control using GIT Additional Details • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies • Occasional Travel may be required

Compensation

Salary Range: $103,950 – $206,250 USD annually In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
