Purpose Statement The Forklift Operator operates an assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in addition to following company and warehouse GMP’s. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes • Maintains defensive driving • Maintains trailer clean and free of contaminants and pest • Provides a communication link between customers and staff • Follow company food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished good products • Assists warehouse personnel with the loading and unloading of products and operates forklifts as needed • Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for customers and reads and interprets road signs in English • Assist with Inventory and Cycle Counts Knowledge, Skills, and Experience • High School Diploma • 1 to 2 years of experience (Stand Up Forklift Experience a plus) • Lift 50 lbs. • RF Scanning Experience a plus • Work in Freezer environment • Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
