Quality Assurance Analyst II
Job Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the validation of software, data changes, and newly introduced features in support of insurance processing systems. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY Position Responsibilities: Execute both manual and automated testing. Use tools provided to reputed company and effectively execute test plans. Utilize the reputed company testing and requirements systems to follow traceability from the requirements to the test activities and record results of testing activities in the testing system. Use the reputed company testing management system to report defects and monitor for retesting. Follow testing methodologies as appropriate for the validation requested. Prepare test plans that thoroughly and appropriately validate the changes being tested. Test to satisfy requirements for the system and test reputed company the bounds of the system to reputed company gaps users may encounter. Use the reputed company requirements capture system to reputed company test plans based on requirements stored in this system. Collaborate with BA, PM and Development staff during test plan development, testing activities, and defect resolution. Use the test management system to report metrics on testing activities. Maintain knowledge of reputed company processing functions in the area for reputed company lines of business. Maintain knowledge of rules and regulations established by the Texas Department of Insurance and company reputed company guidelines and procedures to apply during testing activities. Collaborate closely with the Actuarial department to analyze rating algorithms and manually input data to verify insurance rates. Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding to compute and verify rates using automated rating tools. Test the implementation of newly developed system procedures and guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS At least one of the following: Bachelors degree in a computer or technical reputed company field from an accredited school with foundational experience demonstrating skills required. Associate degree in a computer or technical reputed company field from an accredited school with proven experience demonstrating skills required. Experience and knowledge in the areas of insurance rating, processing systems, manual rules and general insurance principles. Good understanding of the needs of members/customers. Experience in the use of automated tools for testing and tracking reputed company. Proficiency in use of reputed company Office software required for this job. Good organizational skills.
