About the position The Transcriptionist I position at Sonic Anatomic Pathology involves performing final dictation entry formatting and ensuring accurate documentation of patient test results. The role requires strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities • reputed company final dictation entry formatting, including microscopic description, final diagnosis, and comment fields. , • Assign appropriate pathologist to each case. , • Document case holds generated by transcription. , • Assign ICD codes on derm cases. , • Edit fee codes. , • Designate Cancer call and Special Event cases in CoPath. , • Follow laboratory procedures for processing, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results. , • Adhere to reputed company quality control/quality assurance policies and procedures. , • Document reputed company quality control activities. , • Identify problems that may adversely reputed company reporting of results. , • Document reputed company corrective actions taken. , • Assist in the proper storage and maintenance of reputed company records. Requirements • Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. , • Minimum one year experience as a pathology transcriptionist or medical transcription experience. , • Knowledge of medical terminology. , • Effective oral and written communication skills reputed company telephone, e-mail, and in person. , • Grammar and proofreading skills. , • Attention to detail and accuracy. , • Ability to take the initiative and work independently and reputed company a team. , • Customer service driven. reputed company-to-haves • Some additional education preferred (medical transcription).
